Nominations

Each year, the AANN Leadership Development Committee searches for qualified candidates to serve as the new leaders of the association. The new and evolving process includes an assessment of characteristics, skills, and competencies. The Leadership Development Committee (formerly called the Nominating Committee) will review the application packets and consider the characteristics, skills, and competencies each prospective leader offers relative to the gaps identified in the existing leadership. If you are interested in applying for a leadership position and becoming a vital part in shaping the future of neuroscience nursing, download the Candidate Handbook and Application for an overview of the process, position descriptions, and candidate application.

This program is designed to provide a neuroscience staff nurse the opportunity to sit on the AANN Board of Directors as a mentee and a  voting member for one or two years. The goal of this program is to help develop and support future AANN leaders by giving the mentee exposure to the Board. The mentee will gain valuable insight related to AANN's initiatives. Read more about the program and time commitment in the AANN Board Mentee Handbook and Application which will be availalbe in late Spring 2024. Applications should be submitted to info@aann.org by no later than August 8, 2024. Do not miss out on this exciting opportunity!
