Agnes M Marshall Keynote Address Aphasia: Hope Is a Four-Letter Word Carl McIntyre Sunday, April 29, 8:00 – 9:30 am Aphasia is the heartfelt true story of Carl McIntyre, who struggles against overwhelming odds to redefine his life after suffering a massive stroke at age 44 and losing his ability to read, write, and talk. The life-affirming film provides hope and inspiration not only to stroke survivors and their families, but also to anyone who has struggled to meet life's daunting and ever-changing challenges.
AANN was the first organization to sell Carl's DVD at the meeting. AANN was only able to sell the popular DVD at conference, but you're invited to order copies of Aphasia through Amazon.com.
The Future of Nursing: Key Messages & Key Directions in Collaboration Dr. Michael Bleich Monday, April 30, 9:00 – 10:15 am This presentation will address how individual nurses and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) can act to revitalize and take nursing to new heights. Explore the public's need for nursing in the future, and how collaboration with key stakeholders are critical links to meet increasing demands for care.
