National Stroke Association Partnership

The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) has partnered with the National Stroke Association to provide AANN members with discounted access to the National Stroke Association's Stroke Nurse Education Modules.

These accredited, online education modules are ideal for new nurses who want to increase their general stroke knowledge as well as for seasoned providers committed to keeping their stroke knowledge and practice current.

AANN members receive a 25% discount by simply indicating AANN affiliation via the online registration. Cost is $15 per module. Please see below for registration instructions, and go to www.stroke.org/strokenurse to view the educational offerings.

Stroke Nurse Education Modules Registration Instructions for AANN Members:

Create a Personal User Account/Initial Login

  • Access the National Stroke Association’s online education center via www.stroke.org/strokenurse.
  • Click on "To view a demo course or to access the modules now, please click here," which is located in the middle of the page.
  • Click on the "New Users" tab and create your personal user account (provides you with a username and password).
  • Click on the "Login" link or tab, and log in using your new username and password.

Register for a Course

  • Click on the "Courses" tab to see a list of available courses.
  • Click on a course title to display an information page about that course. To enroll in that course, click on the "Register" button. You must register and pay for each course separately.
  • Select "AANN Members" as your affiliation—doing so will enable your AANN member discount.

Access Courses

  • Once you have registered for a course, click on the "MyCE tab"—the title(s) of all the courses you have registered for will be displayed under the "Courses in Progress" heading on this page.
  • You may access any course for which you are registered, at any time—stopping and starting your participation as many times as desired or necessary. Once you have completed a course, you can return and review the course at any time.
  • When viewing a course, don't forget to ensure that your audio is enabled and that your speakers are on and turned up.
