Recertifying By CEUs
In the fifth year of certification, you may choose to recertify by either taking the examination or by having attained enough continuing education credits/nursing contact hours. If you choose to recertify by CEUs or CH, you have two options:

Frequently, persons ask how they can get these continuing education hours. There are a tremendous number of ways to accomplish your goals. AANN offers Category 1 continuing education hours on the web via the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing, and at annual educational conferences. Local chapters of AANN may also provide programming with continuing education hours. Most healthcare centers offer accredited nursing continuing education. In addition, many national nursing journals offer CE.
