Why You Should Attend

The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) Annual Educational Meeting continues to ignite Passion for the Profession of neuroscience nursing. Whether you are  new to the field, looking to learn the latest techniques, or want to share your ideas to improve practice, this meeting will inspire. Show your commitment to providing the best patient care and join this community of neuroscience nurses devoted to adopting the best practices in their facilities. Through preconference sessions, programs, and networking events, you'll gain new ideas from your peers and learn from the best educators in the industry. Make this investment and return to your patients with the skills and information to improve their recovery and their lives.

Meeting Objectives

  1. Create an environment to meet the learning needs of nurses from novice to expert levels of practice.
  2. Provide opportunities to share best practices for the enhancement of neuroscience nursing in varied clinical settings.
  3. Foster opportunities for networking and mentoring among AANN membership, leadership, and colleagues.
  4. Promote evidence-based practice through clinical inquiry, critical thinking, and research.

Continuing Education (CE) Credit

AANN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Attendees can earn 1 nursing contact hour for every 60 minutes of educational content by completing and submitting evaluation forms. The total number of contact hours that can be earned is as follows:

Preconference Workshops

  • 3.5 contact hours for a 4-hour preconference workshop
  • 2 contact hours for a 2-hour preconference workshop

Conference

  • 17.3 contact hours (includes 1.5 contact hours for evaluating 30 posters)

Additional Events

Be aware of your own state board of nursing's continuing education equirements, especially in those states where continuing education is mandatory.
