Case Challenges in Parkinson's Disease: The Role of the Neuroscience Nurse (1.5 CE)
Monday, March 22 6:45–8:15 am Breakfast Symposium
Parkinson's disease (PD) treatment is generally focused on symptoms that most impair patients' quality of life. This activity will not only address the role of the neuroscience nurse in individualizing PD treatment, but also will explore recent clinical trial data on both early and late-stage disease management. This symposium is supported by an educational grant from Teva Neuroscience.
Please note: This is a ticketed event. Please visit the Symposia counter at the registration desk to pick up your ticket.

(501) Identifying New Approaches in Multiple Sclerosis Management Through Patient Simulations (1.5 CE)
Monday, March 22 11:30 am–1 pm Lunch Symposium
This CE symposium will address the results from last year's PRIME survey results, where nurses indicated an educational gap in multiple sclerosis, with scientific presentations, video case study vignettes, and expert panelist discussions throughout the program format.
Please note: This symposium is supported by an educational grant from Teva Neuroscience. This is a ticketed event and preregistration is required. See Box G on the registration form.
Safely Transitioning Care for Patients With Seizure
Monday, March 22 5–6:30 pm Dinner Symposium
Seizure can be frightening, both for the clinician who encounters it and for the patient who must live with it. Too often, practical concerns are obscured; what is needed is a bedside view, not a birds' eye view. How can the clinician safely deal with an acute seizure in the clinical setting? And how can the patient safely live with the disease—and with the changes in lifestyle that may be required—after release from the clinic?
Please note: This is a ticketed event. Please visit the Symposia counter at the registration desk to pick up your ticket.

Developing Your Reviewing Skills

This presentation focuses on building your skills as a reviewer either for a publisher or a professional journal's peer review board. An approach to logically critiquing content, checking references, and writing a review will be presented. Easily avoidable mistakes will also be discussed, and examples of what an editor or publisher looks for will be available.
