Spirit of Neuroscience Nursing Photo Contest

2012 Spirit of Neuroscience Nursing Photo Contest Criteria

Help us ignite Passion for the Profession of neuroscience nursing by capturing pictures of your colleagues, patients, and families! Your photo will be displayed on AANN's Facebook page and during AANN's 44th Annual Educational Conference in April/May where members and attendees will vote for their favorite images. The member whose photo receives the most votes will win a complimentary conference registration to the AANN 45th Annual Educational Meeting. 

  • Photo should convey the spirit of neuroscience nursing.
  • Submissions should be in electronic (JPEG, TIF, GIF) format.
  • A short description of no more than 50 words (including all photo subjects' names and genders) must accompany each photo submission.
  • A signed permission from each person (patient, family, or nurse) in each photo must accompany the submission.
  • All submissions become property of AANN and will be widely shared throughout AANN media, including Synapse E-News.

2011 Photo Contest Winner

Congratulations to Madeline Blake, winner of the 2011 Spirit of Neuroscience Nursing photo contest! Members at AANN's 43rd Annual Educational Meeting in Kansas City, MO and on Facebook felt that her image, "Neuroscience Nursing: Many Hands, One Heart" most accurately portrayed passion for the profession of neuroscience nursing.

As the winner, she receives complimentary registration to the AANN 44th Annual Educational Meeting in Seattle, WA. Her image will also be featured in future AANN publications.
