AANN Membership
AANN’s membership represents nurses and other health care professionals employed in diverse areas of neuroscience patient care. Journal for Neuroscience Nursing A year's subscription to the AANN's bimonthly peer-reviewed journal which addresses the field of neuroscience and neuroscience nursing
Synapse A year's subscription to the AANN's bimonthly newsletter which provides information about the ongoing activities and accomplishments of AANN and its members as well as helpful tips for daily practice
Educational Sessions Discounted prices on educational sessions sponsored by AANN, in particular AANN annual meetings
Educational Products Discounted prices on AANN products, such as the Clinical Guideline Series and Core Curriculum.
Certification AANN's certification arm, the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing (ABNN), oversees administration of the Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) credential. AANN members receive a discount of $85 on the CNRN examination.
Networking Opportunities
Bulletin Boards on the AANN Web Site The bulletin boards found on the AANN web site allow neuroscience nurses around the globe to discuss a variety of topics related to neuroscience nursing.
Local Chapters AANN has over fifty affiliated chapters across the nation. Included in the AANN New Member Kit is a listing of AANN chapters and who to contact to learn more about a specific chapter.
Special Focus Groups (SFG) Membership in AANN entitles you to join special focus groups at no additional charge. Each SFG is organized around a particular topic. Their primary purpose is to provide networking opportunities by communicating on a listserv, posting information on the AANN website, and meeting at the AANN Annual Meeting.World Federation of Neuroscience Nursing One dollar of each AANN member's annual dues goes to support the World Federation of Neuroscience Nursing (WFNN) and provides the member with membership in this international organization.
Categories of Membership
Active Active membership in AANN is open to registered nurses and entitles the holder to all the benefits listed above. Active members may vote, hold elective office and serve on committees as members or as chairs. Active membership in AANN is $98 annually.
Associate Associate membership in AANN is open to non RN professionals in the care of neuroscience patients and entitles the holder to all the benefits listed above. Associate members may not vote, hold elective office or serve as committee chairs. Associate membership in AANN is $73.50 annually.
Student Student membership in AANN is open to full-time students eligible for the NCLEX exam. Student members may not vote, hold elective office or serve as committee chairs. Student membership in AANN is $49 annually.
