Integra Foundation Awards Grant to NNF
The Integra Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Integra LifeSciences Corporation, has awarded a $25,000 grant to the Neuroscience Nursing Foundation (NNF) in support of three key programs:
- travel grants, which assist neuroscience nurses in attending the annual meeting of AANN
- CNRN recertification grants
- NNF research grants, which support research projects that evaluate new modes of therapy, contribute to the scientific knowledge base of neuroscience nursing, and contribute to the quality of evidence-based patient care
"We are grateful to the Integra Foundation for its ongoing support of our programs. As the only foundation dedicated to the development of neuroscience nursing research and education, we provide unique support that has proved invaluable to the advancement of our specialty's science and to individual neuroscience nurses," observed Tess Sierzant, president of NNF. "It is clear our organizations have complementary visions for optimal care of the patient impacted by neurological trauma and illness."

In 2008, the NNF Board of Trustees moved to correct the lack of a direct "thank you" for support of the Foundation by launching GentleTouch, specifically designed to let donors know that they are the difference. If you did not receive a GentleTouch "thank you" in 2008, please consider including the Foundation in your 2009 giving list.
