Liaison Named from AANN to WFNN

Christi DeLemos, MSN RN ACNP-c, has been appointed as AANN's liaison to the World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN). DeLemos represents a strong voice for AANN members who will benefit from the partnership with WFNN through international networking, research, and professional knowledge sharing. As a result of this relationship, AANN members will receive a complementary membership to WFNN.
DeLemos is currently a nurse practitioner at the University of California Davis Medical Center, Department of Neurological Surgery. She is also a master's-prepared registered nurse with a postgraduate nurse practitioner certificate. She completed her undergraduate training at California State University and postgraduate nurse practitioner training at the University of California–San Francisco.
WFNN, founded in 1969, is an international organization dedicated to the promotion and development of neuroscience nursing throughout the world. Initially consisting of nursing organizations representing 5 member countries, today there are more than 11,000 nurses representing 27 countries and 6 continents. WFNN's mission is to encourage and facilitate interaction and the exchange and dissemination of knowledge, foster high standards for patient care, encourage research and development, and establish neuroscience nursing societies. For more information on WFNN and the 2009 10th Quadrennial Congress in Toronto, Canada, May 23–28, visit www.wfnn.nu or www.wfnn2009congress.ca.

Have You Received the February 2009 JNN?

You should have already received your copy of the February 2009 issue of the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing (JNN), now published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. This issue has a strong focus on stroke, offering CE credit for the article "Estrogen and Stroke: A Review of the Current Literature." JNN is also available online and includes a new feature, Editorial Manager, a Web-based program for authors who submit manuscripts and for managing JNN's content. Though JNN will look a little different, it remains the strong voice for neuroscience nursing professionals.
