A Message from the New AANN Liaison to WFNN

It was wonderful to meet so many of you at the recent AANN Annual Educational Meeting in Las Vegas, NV. As the liaison to the World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN), I asked a few members to tell me about their experience with the organization. I learned that many members I asked lacked familiarity with the WFNN.
So what is the WFNN? The WFNN is an organization founded in 1969 to promote and develop neuroscience nursing throughout the world. It is comprised of 15 member organizations, representing 32 countries from 6 continents. AANN pays dues to the organization to give AANN members access to the WFNN.
The WFNN provides professional research grants and access to information of international conferences and outstanding international neuroscience nursing conferences. The WFNN will hold its 10th Quadrennial Congress May 23–28, 2009, in Toronto, Canada. The conference features international speakers from 24 countries who will review topics relevant to your nursing practice. There is still time to register for this important event by clicking here.
Click here to find the latest copy of the WFNN International Brainwaves newsletter. I look forward to seeing you in Canada!
