Chapter Activities
The Northwest Indiana Chapter of AANN is cosponsoring an education day on the topic of stroke. This event will be held in Merrillville, IN at the Avalon Manor Banquet Center on December 4, 2008. Breakfast starts at 7:30 am with the conference beginning at 8 am. Any RN, LPN, student nurse, EMT basic or paramedic, or physician is welcome to attend. Cost is $25 before November 11, 2008, and $30 at the door. CEUs will be offered, and we are working on offering CMEs as well. Topics will include ER management, critical care management, diagnostic workup, rehab considerations, and much more. There will also be vendors available for discussion. The Triad Chapter, with Northwest Area Health Education Center, will be presenting a CNRN Review Course March 7–8, 2009. It will be held at the Reynolda Business Center (2400 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC). The fee will be $95 for the 2-day course, with a special rate and scholarships available for Triad Chapter members. Linda Littlejohns and Triad Chapter leaders will be presenting information based on the CNRN Examination Matrix and Core Curriculum. More information will be available soon on our chapter Web sitewww.triadaann.org, which is under construction at this time.
